The mission of Guest Services is to provide customer service at BYU sponsored dances and events (and events being held in the Wilkinson Student Center ). Working under the supervision of Dean of Students Office, the Guest Services staff serves and helps the patrons of Brigham Young University by assuring safety and security during events, and monitoring the adherence of the Dress and Grooming Standards as prescribed by the BYU HONOR CODE. The primary responsibilities of Guest Services staff at events include:
- Safety
- Dress and grooming standards
- Crowd control
- Ticket sales
- Cash handling
- Hosting VIPs
- Shuttle transportation
Guest Services staff is available for hire by BYU sponsored groups, clubs, departments, administration, etc., for approved events.
The Guest Service staff includes the After-hours Building Coordinators, Event Staff, and Student Assistants.
